Biography:

Eduardo Antonio Risso was born in 1959 in the town of Leones, Córdoba, Argentina. In 1981, he began his cartoonist career as an illustrator of La Nación newspaper and soon followed with the publication of several papers in Eroticón and Satyricón journals.
His coveted artistic growth was then achieved with the mythical Editorial Columba: "Holocausto", "Julio Cesar" and "El Ángel"; the latter scripted by Robin Wood.
His first foray into an European publisher was made through an agency. He developed a whole year of "Azor", created by Ray Collins.
In 1987, he was summoned by the writer Ricardo Barreiro and began Fierro magazine series "Parque Chas". The following year introduced "Cain."
The unexpected call of Carlos Trillo motivated him to work on "Fulú". After its success, they kept working together in ongoing collaboration until mid 90s.
With "100 Bullets" won the "Eisner" Award in 2001 for "Best Serial Story", in 2002 for "Best New Artist" and "Best Continuing Series" and in 2004 again in the latter category. He received two "Harvey" Awards for "Best Artist" and "Best Continuing Series". In 2003 he was awarded with the "Yellow Kid" for "Best Artist". His international recognition, defines him as a great motivator for the comic restructuring in Argentina. Since 2010, Eduardo Risso leads the Organizing Committee Crack Bang Boom - International Comic Convention - in the city of Rosario, Argentina.
